Hybrid car
In the hybrid car project needed to build a car that runs off of an alternative energy source travel with a load of 250 grams five meters. We could use anything except for nuclear, chemical, and electric energy. Our cars first design ran off of a mouse trap. The car could travel about one meter without the weights. But once the weights were added to the car it was not able to move at all.Our second design also used elastic energy but in the forms of rubber bands. the rubber band would be twisted around the axis and then let go. This had enough power to move our car five meters with the weight.

Energy - Ability to do work - none
Kinetic Energy - Energy due to motion - KE
Spring Energy - measure of elastic of a spring - K
Elastic Potential Energy - energy due to compression or expansion of an elastic material - US
Equations Unit

During the project our group did well on some things and poor on others. We did really well on adapting to problems that we faced over the course of building the car. We did poorly on managing our time though. Although the time was managed poorly we tried our hardest to finish. While researching alternative energy sources I learned quite a bit about how a car motor works which I found really interesting. Also while building the car I figured out that I was good at figuring out how to get the materials that we needed for the car. I could have done better with explaining how to do some of the math to the people in my group who did not understand it. I also could have done a better job with making a plan from the start and not just building without knowing what we were doing. Overall, we did really bad in time management, but we tried our hardest.
